S235JR angle steel is a European standard non-alloy structural steel with a low carbon content. This type of steel is mainly used for welding, bolted connections, and riveting structures, especially in the manufacturing of structural components in buildings, bridges, ships, vehicles, as well as various tools, cutting tools, molds, and measuring tools.
The chemical composition design of S235JR complies with EN10025 standard, with the principle of meeting performance requirements and reducing production costs. To achieve this goal, this type of steel adopts a low C and low P composition control method in composition control. Among them, some parts of manganese element in steel dissolve with iron element, forming solid solution (ferrite or austenite), while others form cementite with iron and carbon to strengthen ferrite and refine pearlite.
