Carbon steel plate is a type of steel plate mainly composed of iron and carbon elements, with a carbon content usually below 2%. It is one of the most important and commonly used metal sheets in engineering technology, widely used in various fields such as construction, machinery, automobiles, ships, etc.
The manufacturing process of carbon steel plates mainly includes the following steps:
Smelting: Melting raw materials such as iron ore and carbon into molten steel through an electric furnace or open hearth.
Continuous casting: Injecting molten steel into the continuous casting crystallizer, cooling and solidifying to form steel billets of certain specifications.
Rolling: The steel billet is fed into the rolling mill for rolling, and after multiple passes of rolling, it forms a steel plate with a certain thickness and width.
Straightening: To straighten the rolled steel plate to eliminate its bending and warping phenomena.
Surface treatment: Polishing, galvanizing, painting and other surface treatments are carried out on the steel plate as needed to improve its corrosion resistance and aesthetics.
